Ready to Paint Picture Shelves now with 20% off!
£0.04 sq cmOur picture shelves are installed using keyhole fixings routed into the back of the backplate (the bit that meets the wall). We provide you with a pack of fixings (wall plugs and screws) so you just need to drill into the wall, insert the screws, leaving a bit sticking out, and then slot the shelf over the screws. Because the holes are in a keyhole shape, the round part goes over the screw, the shelf drops down and the screw head is nice and snugly fitted into the narrow part of the keyhole shape.
If you have wooden studs behind the plasterboard in your house and you’d like to get a fix into them, you can always let us know where you’d like the fixing holes to be (eg 20cm in from the right end, 30cm in from the left etc).
The other way to fit these shelves is to drill into the wall, pop your wall plugs into the holes and then drill though the back plate and screw through the back plate into the corresponding holes in the wall. If you’re planning to paint the shelves, you can just pop a bit of filler over the screw heads before applying your final coat of paint.
All of our shelves are straightforward for a DIY enthusiast to install and come with all of the fixings you’ll need but you may want to consult and use a professional tradesperson for your installation.

Ready to Paint Grande Floating Shelves now with 20% off!
£0.05 sq cmThe Grande comes with a strong timber bracket – which is made to the exact dimensions of your shelf, enabling your shelf to hold weights of up to 30kg. The batten arrives tucked inside the cavity at the back of the shelf; simply ease the batten out, secure it to the wall and slide your shelf over it. You can then secure the shelf to the batten using the small screws provided, or a small dab of adhesive. The batten is completely concealed inside the shelf, maintaining the ‘floating’ appearance.
